Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and treatments provided by The Curious Remedy. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully before your appointment. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch before booking.
2. Bookings & Appointments
Bookings are automatically confirmed upon submission. However, The Curious Remedy reserves the right to decline any booking that does not fit the service policy or where treatment may not be appropriate.
Please ensure all details provided during booking are accurate and up to date.
3. Booking Fees & Deposits
A non-refundable booking fee (a percentage of the treatment cost) is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
This fee will be deducted from your final balance, which is payable at the end of your appointment.
If you cancel or fail to attend without adequate notice, the booking fee will not be refunded.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.
Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the loss of your booking fee.
Failure to attend your appointment without prior notice (no-show) will also result in forfeiture of the booking fee.
5. Payment
The remaining balance for your treatment is due at the end of your appointment.
Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, and card.
Please ensure payment is made promptly following your treatment.
6. Refund Policy
Once a treatment has been fully provided, refunds will not be offered solely on the basis of dissatisfaction with the outcome.
Massage therapy is a subjective experience, and results may vary between individuals. The Curious Remedy cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
7. Consultation Forms
All clients are required to complete a consultation form before their first treatment. This helps ensure your safety and allows the therapist to tailor the treatment to your needs.
You must provide complete and accurate information about your health, medical history, injuries, and current symptoms.
Please inform the therapist of any changes to your health or circumstances before each subsequent appointment.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to provide complete and accurate information about their health, medical history, injuries, and current symptoms before treatment.
You must inform the therapist of any changes in your condition, including pregnancy, recent illness, or new medication.
Informed consent must be given prior to treatment.
Please communicate openly during your session regarding pressure, discomfort, or any concerns you may have.
Follow reasonable instructions given for positioning, movement, or aftercare.
Arrive on time and attend appointments in a fit and sober condition.
Behave respectfully and maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Comply with agreed payment terms and cancellation notice requirements.
9. Health & Safety
Clients must complete a consultation form honestly and in full before treatment.
Any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, allergies, or medication must be disclosed.
You must inform the therapist of any changes to your health prior to each appointment.
Treatment will only proceed where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
Please follow reasonable instructions relating to positioning, movement, and aftercare.
Any excessive pain, discomfort, or adverse reaction must be reported immediately during the session.
Appointments must be attended in a clean, sober, and hygienic condition.
The therapist reserves the right to refuse or stop treatment where there is a risk to health, safety, or wellbeing.
10. Right to Refuse or Terminate Treatment
The Curious Remedy reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a treatment session at any time if:
There is a concern for health or safety (yours or the therapist's), inappropriate behaviour occurs, required information has not been disclosed, or the client attends under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In such cases, any booking fee paid will not be refunded, and full payment for any partially completed treatment may still be required.
11. Liability
The Curious Remedy takes reasonable care to provide safe and professional treatments. However, the therapist cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions or conditions that arise from undisclosed health information or failure to follow advice given.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have disclosed all relevant health information before treatment.
12. Your Privacy & Data Protection
The Curious Remedy is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection laws.
Your information will only be used for the purposes of providing your treatments, managing bookings, and communicating with you about your appointments.
Your data will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
The Curious Remedy may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will apply to bookings made after the update.
The latest version will always be available at the time of booking.
14. Agreement
By booking an appointment with The Curious Remedy, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
